Our Spirit Footsteps

I know this site is mainly information articles on Spiritual matters, but I thought it would  still be in keeping if I posted this little personal experience of mine.

For the last 15 years, (not constantly, I might add) we have heard a young child running around upstairs.  It is so loud and clear that even guests hear it.

Initially we thought one of the children had woken up and was running around, but after checking on numerous occasions, we had to arrive at the conclusion that it was not one of ‘ours’.

We could tell it was a child by the size and frequency of the steps.  But we have never, no matter how hard we have tried, been able to see it or communicate with it in any way.

This child has been running around in each house we have lived in – so it is definately connected to us in some way.  But how and why?

Progress is obviously being made though.  Yesterday evening, whilst in the bathroom, on the edge of my vision I noticed a small child.  It was about 4 years of age, standing in the bathroom doorway watching me.  Initially I thought it was my youngest – then straight away dismissed it.  I carried on cleaning my teeth of all things, knowing that if I turned towards the child it would disappear.  I carried on for as long as possible with this cleaning process – not wanting to end the moment.  But you can only clean your teeth for so long.

As I changed direction, the child vanished.  I did say ‘Well done, I saw you this time.  You do not need to hide – we know you are here.  There is nothing to be afraid of!’   I just hope that in time I will find out more about this child.

It just goes to show that with patience anything can happen.  15 years is a long time to wait for a quick glimpse – but it certainly put a smile on my face.
